Recent enhancements added to Deep Freeze Cloud


Here are the latest enhancements and fixes to Deep Freeze Cloud that may interest your customers the most.

1. Create Administrators with limited permissions under User Management. 

  • Features or services (such as Deep Freeze or Power Save) can now be enabled or disabled for Administrators. 
  • Now Administrators can also be restricted from adding users to the Cloud Console.


  • When disabled, Administrators have read-only access to these features.  


2. Task Status enhancements:

  • Page now automatically refreshes every 2 minutes.
  • Manually refresh the page using the REFRESH button.
  • Added "Computer Last Reported" and "Completed at" columns.


3. Enhancements to Groups feature:

  • Under Computers: Full list of groups and sub-groups is now displayed when using the filter function in the Groups column.
  • Under Computers, in the Move to Group action: Enforced Policy assigned for each group is now displayed in the drop-down list.
  • Under Groups: Displays the groups and its sub-groups and the total number of computers belonging to each group and sub-group.


4. Deep Freeze Cache for Windows Updates 

  • On Windows 10, a drive letter is assigned to the cache folder.


5. Deep Freeze Dashboard is now available for the ‘Limited Deep Freeze Administrator’ permission type.


6. We have now added tooltips for all actions available on the Computers toolbar.


7. When saving the Policy, we will now remain on the Policy page and not redirect to the Policies List page. Will also display a confirmation of what action was selected while saving.

8. Deep Freeze MDM now has the ability to block FaceTime on iOS devices.


9. MDM now supports iOS 12

To celebrate NetSupport’s 30th anniversary of providing award-winning school IT management solutions, a bundle of new features have been added to the Network and IT Asset Management, Safeguarding and Classroom Management toolkits, providing extra platform support and safeguarding tools for schools.

These new features in V4.7 not only help IT staff, Teachers and Safeguarding Leads to work more efficiently but also further supports schools safeguarding policies.

New – Cloud-based safeguarding console

NetSupport DNA moves to the cloud with a new fully-secure Azure-hosted safeguarding view. It enables Safeguarding Leads to access safeguarding alerts (from the school’s network) on the go, facilitating a quicker response time to high-risk alerts.

New – Contextual intelligence-based Risk Index

NetSupport DNA uses sophisticated contextual AI risk analysis to assesses the context and history of a child’s activities on a school’s network – from devices used, time of day, websites visited and previous alerts – and, from this information, creates a numerical risk index to help staff identify genuine students at risk.

Enhancements for Windows

A whole host of enhancements has been added to NetSupport DNA based on customer feedback and requests. Just some of these include:

NetSupport School version 12.60.0000 has now been released and is available to download. This is available in the below language variants (Other languages will follow in the next day or two): English, French, Spanish. This release of NetSupport School 12.60.0000 does not require a new license key and will work with an existing NetSupport School 12.50 License.
